Recognition
Gaytan was recently interview by Today’s
Facility Manager (TFM)--the leading publication for facility
management professionals--regarding
training, technology and the transition of security services. “We
developed a process that assists clients with the identification
of potential issues and provides a framework for planning
and implementing the transition.”
As the perimeter security
services provider during the renovation of Soldier Field,
and in preparation for the opening of the
stadium in September, representatives from Monterrey Security
recently attended the NFL Security Symposium in Houston and
the NFL regional security conference,. “The program
is by invitation only,” said Gaytan, “with attendees
including facilities managers, game operations, security
directors and NFL security representatives.”
Sessions covered travel, background checks and special breakouts
by areas of responsibility, i.e. perimeter security, field
safety and parking. Facilitators for the programs included
representatives from the NFL, Transportation Security Administration
(TSA) and security consultants. “We learned a lot during
the process,” said Gaytan, “and look forward
to the regional meetings conducted throughout the year.”
Gaytan
facilitated a presentation on “Performance Management” with
Jack Goldsborough of Valiant Systems at the ASIS Security
Force Management seminar on June 17th, 2003, in Washington,
DC, to
more than 50 security directors, contractors and consultants,
including senior security representatives from Goodyear,
Starbucks, Marathon Oil and the Homeland Security Department.
The interactive
session examined the importance of planning and ongoing measurement
and adjustment during the development and implementation
of security measures, as well as the positive impact of technology
on the management of security.
