John G. Shedd Aquarium and Monterrey Security

 

With over 1 million visitors annually, the John G. Shedd Aquarium is the most visited museum in the City of Chicago. Since 2011, Monterrey Security has worked closely with the Shedd Aquarium Society to keep their animals, visitors, volunteers, and staff safe. Monterrey’s embedded security management program is involved with all facility departments to ensure safety, security, and guest services are engrained in all daily activities. Monterrey draws on its extensive experience and relationships in providing security and guest services to major cultural institutions to impact this facility every day. The Shedd Aquarium contains priceless animal collections that require special protections, procedures, and attention. All Monterrey staff are trained on marine and mammal distress indicators so that they can be aware of animals who may be in need of emergency attention.
