Monterrey Security is fully licensed by the State of Illinois Department of Professional Regulations as a Security Agency, Security Contractor and a Private Detective Agency. Our firm also holds an Indiana Security Guard Agency License from the State of Indiana Professional Licensing Agency.

A minority-owned firm, Monterrey Security is certified by the City of Chicago as a minority-business enterprise (MBE). Monterrey Security is also actively pursing federal 8(a) certification as a minority-owned business.

We have received Homeland Security Infrastructure Protection certification from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

All our guards receive State issued permanent employee registration cards. The classroom and field training our guards receive surpasses local state requirements. In addition, individual staff hold certifications in occupational safety and health, construction safety, hazardous materials handling, crowd control management and evacuation planning.
